Terms and Conditions for Use of JAAHA online

The person using JAAHA online may view, reproduce or store copies of articles comprising the journal provided that the articles are used only for their personal, non-commercial use.
Any copies of JAAHA online must include copyright notice.
Except for uses allowed by the "Fair Use" limitations (sections 107 and 108) of the U.S. Copyright law, the person using JAAHA online may not: a) distribute a copy (electronic or otherwise) of any document or file from this server without the written permission of the publisher, b) alter a copy of any retrieved, printed, or stored document or file from this server, or c) charge for a copy (electronic or otherwise) of any file or document from this server.
For permissions to copy beyond that permitted by the U.S. Copyright Law and for reprints, contact the Copyright Clearance Center. The fee code for users of the Transactional Reporting Service appears in each abstract and full text article.
Any uses and or copies of this Journal in whole or in part must include the customary bibliographic citation, including author attribution, date, volume and number, article title, page numbers, and the URL http://www.jaaha.org/ and MUST include a copy of the copyright notice.
Personal accounts and/or passwords may not be shared.
Institutional online subscription accounts and/or passwords are restricted to authorized users and sites as defined by AAHA.

Terms of Use for Institutional Subscribers

For the purposes of this Agreement, an Institutional Online Subscription permits unlimited Internet access to JAAHA online by authorized users at one geographical site through the use of the institution±s IP addresses. Institutional Subscribers are responsible for entering IP addresses of computers to define which computers have access.

Authorized users at the site are authenticated, authorized, current full- and part-time students, employees (including faculty, staff, affiliated researchers, and independent contractors), library patrons, and other individuals who have permission to use the public computers on an Institutional Subscriber±s geographically constrained site. A "site" is an organizational unit; it may be academic or nonacademic. For organizations located in more than one city, each city office is considered a different site. For organizations within the same city that are administered independently, each office is considered a different site.

Access via proxy server is permissible for authorized users. Access via open proxy server is prohibited.

Disclaimer of Warranties

In no event shall American Animal Hospital Association or Stanford University be liable for any special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the use of the articles or other material derived from JAAHA, whether or not advised of the possibility of damage, and on any theory of liability.

Neither the editors nor the American Animal Hospital Association nor any party involved in the preparation of the online Journal warrants that the information contained herein is in every respect accurate or complete. Users of JAAHA online are advised to consult appropriate medical literature and product information with regard to drugs mentioned on JAAHA to verify dosages, methods, administration recommendations, and contraindications. Neither AAHA nor the editors of nor the contributors to the Journal nor anyone else involved in creating or producing JAAHA Online will be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of : a) your use or your inability to use JAAHA online, b) any errors or omissions in the materials included in JAAHA online, c) the contents of JAAHA online, or d) the contents of any other sites on the Internet that may be linked to JAAHA online or any material of third parties that may be accessed through JAAHA online.

JAAHA online is under development, and changes may be made to the site and programs at any time. Neither AAHA nor Stanford University has any duty to update the information contained on the online version to correct errors or otherwise.

The terms of this Agreement constitute the entire Agreement between you and AAHA with respect to JAAHA online and supercede any prior written or oral representation of agreements.

Please note: If you are using one of the popular "offline browsers" that allow you to download content from a site and read it later, be aware that we impose one restriction on their use.

In order for us to provide reliable, continuous, and timely access to JAAHA online for all readers, we require that you configure your offline browser to request no more than one page per minute.

Be aware that non-compliance with this rule will result in your access to JAAHA online being blocked until you contact us and resolve the problem. If you repeatedly break this rule you will be permanently blocked from the site.
